Dr Almeida holds a PhD in Materials Science, with a strong background in nanobiomaterials and Cancer Biology acquired over more than ten years of laboratory experience.
In 2021 Dr Almeida joined the editorial team of Nature Biomedical Engineering, where he developed strong interdisciplinary knowledge. Currently serving as Senior Editor, Dr Almeida has extensive experience in manuscript handling, editorial strategy, and team mentorship, commissioning highly cited research outcomes, and advise.
