Dr Almeida holds a PhD in Materials Science, with a strong background in nanobiomaterials and Cancer Biology acquired over more than ten years of laboratory experience.
In 2021 Dr Almeida joined the editorial team of Nature Biomedical Engineering, where he developed strong interdisciplinary knowledge. Currently serving as Senior Editor, Dr Almeida has extensive experience in manuscript handling, editorial strategy, team mentorship, and commissioning highly cited research.
That combination of bench science and editorial practice now goes into one aim: helping researchers build sustainable careers, and helping institutions create the conditions in which their people can move into editorial and academic leadership.
Engagements range from an afternoon of one-to-one sessions to multi-day programmes for universities and research institutes, and can be tailored to your group or department.
